Privacy at SSI Group

Changes to the Australian federal privacy legislation came into effect on 12 March 2014 to enhance and harmonise the law regulating the protection of the privacy of individuals. The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) comprises 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) which apply to private sector organisations including Settlement Services International Limited (SSI) and its subsidiary entities (collectively, SSI Group). SSI Group respects and upholds your rights to privacy protection under the APPs in regulating how we collect, use, disclose and hold your personal information. Only authorised staff have access to your personal information which remains confidential and is only used for appropriate purposes.

NSW Privacy Management Plan

Further, SSI has developed a Privacy Management Plan, which addresses more specifically how SSI deals with information under NSW privacy laws, namely, the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW), and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW). Use of SSI Group websites

When you access SSI’s website, a record of your visit will be kept via site cookies. The logged information will only be used for statistical purposes. Information provided via online forms may be stored in databases. Your information will only be used for the purpose for which it was provided and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the APPs.
