Outstanding performers at the ADSi 15th Western Sydney Refugee Youth Awards

Twenty-eight young people from refugee backgrounds were awarded and 37 acknowledged for their outstanding performance in academic areas, community leadership, creative and performance arts, and sports at ADSi's 15th Western Sydney Refugee Youth Awards on June 20.

ADSi initiated the Western Sydney Refugee Youth Awards in 2005 to recognise and acknowledge outstanding achievements within the refugee youth community. It has since become an epic annual event, supported by local schools, youth service providers and government agencies, with 374 refugee young people awarded for their achievements.

“I will use this as a stepping stone to more achievements to come,” said one of this year's award recipients.
