Students and tutors received certificates at the completion of Community Northern Beaches holiday maths clinic

Community Northern Beaches’ Multicultural Service organised a maths clinic during the summer school holidays for Tibetan students in grades 5, 6 and 7.

The tutorials ran two hours, two days a week, beginning in December 2019 and finishing on January 28, 2020.

The main objective of the maths program was to upgrade students’ maths skills, improve their studies and make productive use of their holiday.

Three Tibetan university students volunteered as tutors and 20 children attended all the sessions.

In addition to a party after the last class to celebrate their achievement, the children were presented with attendance certificates and the teachers received appreciation certificates.
