Young people from the Sutherland Shire and St George area have been meeting and working together on the Changing the Narrative (CTN) Film Festival Project.
Many of the activities have been online, with weekly catch-ups, website production and filmmaking workshops. Recently there was a two-day, face-to-face course on leadership and emotional resilience, facilitated by Former NSW Assistant Police Commissioner, Reg Mahoney.
The Film Festival is currently open for young people to submit a short film in categories like active citizenship, arts and culture, belonging and community, environment and climate change and social inequality and discrimination.
