SydWest staff pose for International Women's Day

SydWest was proud to host a very special International Women’s Day event for its clients and stakeholders across the greater Blacktown area.

The program of inspirational women at the Blacktown Arts Centre made an impact on every person in different ways, emphasising the power of personal stories.

Speaking to the theme #BreaktheBias, guest speaker Amani Haydar, award-winning writer and artist, addressed areas that posed existential challenges today and how stereotypes could hinder quick recognition that would help prevent and overcome domestic violence.

SydWest’s post-event video provides highlights of the evening, including Sarah Macdonald of ABC Radio Sydney, Flamenco Red, led by Annalouise Paul, and Subtle Mullets – all strong women following their passions in their respective fields.
