The NSP Quarterly Meeting on March 17 featured a guest presentation by Alison Larkins, Commonwealth Coordinator-General for Migrant Services, followed by questions and comments.
Ms Larkins thanked consortium members for their commitment during a time of extraordinary challenges and discussed key issues facing the settlement sector.
Representatives from member organisations spoke about recent achievements, the benefits of their professional and collective experience, and concerns about requirements for meeting client needs in the future.
The day also included sessions on data, monitoring and reporting, key projects, domestic and family violence, community capacity building, developing standards and best practice for good governance, partner updates (regional and metro), a youth workers update, a report on Harmony Week activities, and sharing best practice about volunteering and community engagement.
