The Mount Druitt Ethnic Communities Agency (MECA) in partnership with 17 stakeholders in the Blacktown LGA organised several events for Refugee Week 2022.
The objective was to celebrate, educate and discuss the call to action for community members to make former refugees feel welcomed in the LGA.
Events were spread across the entire Refugee Week with a variety of segments that included a Walk, Talk and Celebrate to Northern Beaches, a cook and share Facebook live session, a trauma-informed yoga session, an art therapy session, a movie night at MECA Garden, and a Community Celebration at Westfield Mt Druitt.
